Last year I designed and hosted my daughter'southward hymeneals reception at domicile. Although I don't have photos of the cake stands we used, you lot tin can run into more to inspire in my "Beautiful Affordable Nuptials Reception At Domicile post".
And so simple…all you need are the lighting parts, some plates and glue!
- You volition be gluing your bobeches on to the metal lamp part. Regular glue does not bond well and I recommend either Liquid Nails Construction Adhesive * notice that HERE *or E6000 * discover that HERE *. You'll need a caulk gun if y'all use Liquid Nails, but I find this adhesive to be the best for the bail. Allow this dry for several hours without moving.
- In one case dry enough to movement you tin paint. I use spray paint and honestly any I have left from previous projects. Every bit always, spray painting should be washed in a well ventilated area or outdoors.
- You tin choose to mucilage your plates on to these new stands that y'all've created, or not! I don't take thrifted plates in my stash at the moment so I used plates that I didn't want to mucilage. The stands should be sturdy enough where a cake will sit nicely without an issue, even when slicing.
This easy diy cake stand up is my favorite with information technology'southward flirty leggy look. Guest e'er love these block stands and are amazed when yous explain what they are!
This 1 is fabricated from the hanging pendant lamp part that is pictured above. Yes, you certainly tin can purchase beautiful and utilitarian block stands at the store, simply these are much more interesting and fun!
